Zachary David Bradshaw was born on February 3rd, 2009 at 4:43 a.m. He was 19 inches long and weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. He was almost unbearably cute from day one.
My kids are growing up WAY too fast! I keep telling people that my birthdays don't really make me feel old... but my kids' do. Jacob just turned six and he started Kindergarten this year. So I am definitely starting to feel it. But enough about me. Jacob is loving school. We were able to get him into the full day Kindergarten, which I love because the boys both go and come at the same time. He's having a lot of fun with his teacher and starting to get the hang of some simple reading. Every time he makes an
achievement he gets really excited.
For Jacob's Birthday he wanted a Monster Truck cake... so even though I'm not terribly creative, I did my best. He seemed to enjoy it regardless of my amateurism.
Kristina also got a puppy near Jacob's birthday and brought it over so that he could see her.
One last picture that has nothing to do with Jacob's birthday. The boys built a fort and wanted to sleep in it. I had to take a picture so that I can remember that they are not growing up THAT fast... :)
In August this year Ben had his 8th Birthday!
It took a little while to organize things with the other side of the family, but Ben was able to be Baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in September.
We were really proud of him for making the decision to be baptized and happy that so much of his family was able to attend. I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

Trunk or Treat and the boys had a Halloween parade at their school. We also took them to Boo at the Zoo which was a lot of fun, but very crowded! We're lucky enough to live near Dave's friend Rachel and her daughter Kambrielle is just a bit younger than Jacob, so she came with us to the zoo and the Trunk or Treat. She and Jacob are such cute little friends.

c down in Provo and although the boys were a little hesitant at first, they wound up having a blast throwing a frisbee around with Uncle Matt and squirting water guns with their new cousins. That evening we set off some fireworks in front of our house. The boys loved it and ran around waving sparklers getting more and more excited with each firework, that was basically exactly the same as the one before it. After that we grabbed a quilt and walked one block south over to Sugarhouse Park. It was even more crowded than I expected. They had a great display and afterwards the boys
were so tired that they didn't object to going straight to bed. Then Dave and I settled in to listen to all the honking horns, laughing and yelling coming in our window from the dispersing crowd.

Well now, it's been over two months since the wedding... Guess we'd better blog about it :)
got together for a dinner. I sat at the head of the table adorned with a plastic sash and glittery tiara both boasting the words "bride to be". It was a great chance for us to spend time together and get to know each other a bit. There was lots of laughing and quite a bit of crying (mostly Kathy ;) but the rest of us certainly had our moments. Afterwards the Bradshaw gang gathered at our house and we talked until late in the night. Kathy cried again when she saw Dave's ring and Dave spent the weekend asking everyone to "guess how much it cost?" he was so proud of the deal we found.
That night the boys got to have a sleepover with their Hetherington cousins, aunts and uncles at Grandma's house (Jacob made Kristina sing him to sleep) and we got to go on our Honeymoon: a cruise from LA down to Mexico. The Bradshaw girls outdid themselves again, packing up a bag full of snacks to take with us. (Also included was Dave's favorite gift, all three seasons of Arrested Development.) We flew down to LA and boarded the ship at Long Beach Harbor, and spent the next four days relaxing and having fun. And although Dave did longingly look towards the internet cafes we walked past more than once... He was able to forget about work for a while and enjoy himself. We are DEFINITELY going to go on another cruise someday.
